موضوع: به مناسبت کنفرانس سازمان ملل در مورد تغییرات اقلیمی ، ما از شما میخواهیم خواستار آزادی فعالین محیط زیست در ایران شوید.
دولت انگلستان میزبان کنفرانس سازمان ملل در رابطه با تغییرات اقلیمی ( کاپ ۲۶ ) در گلاسگو می‌باشد که در تاریخ ۳۱ اکتبر الی ۱۲ نوامبر ۲۰۲۱ برگزار میشود. از طرف کمیته مبارزه برای آزادی زندانیان سیاسی مایلم از شما بخواهم که جمهوری اسلامی را جهت آزادی فعالین محیط زیست زندانی و توقف اذیت و آزار و بازداشت این فعالین و خانواده هایشان تحت فشار قرار دید.
در حالی که مسایل مهم مربوط به تغییرات اقلیمی در این کنفرانس مورد بحث قرار می‌گیرد و نمایندگان رژیم اسلامی نیز به این کنفرانس نیز دعوت شده اند، فعالین محیط زیست را که در رابطه با تاثیر تغییرات اقلیمی بر ایران آگاهگری میکنند را دستگیر و شکنجه میکنند. قابل ذکر است که رئیس جمهور رژیم اسلامی ، ابراهیم رئیسی، که در قتل فعالین اپوزیسیون دست داشته و
مرتکب جنایت علیه بشریت شده است ، نیز به این کنفرانس دعوت شد بود. تحت ریاست رئیسی دهها تن از فعالین محیط زیست دستگیر و برایشان احکام زندان طولانی مدت صادر شده است. لازم میدانم اشاره کنم که پس از درخواست برای دستگیری رئیسی در اسکاتلند، رییسی اعلام کرد که در کنفرانس تغییرات اقلیمی شرکت نخواهد کرد. شرکت رئیسی ،این جنایتکار شناخته شده، در کنفرانس یک ابروریزی و تحقیر جهانی برای مسئولین برگزاری کنفرانس میبود.
رژیم اسلامی در ایران به عمد از حل مشکلات محیط زیستی در ایران چشم پوشی کرده و در بسیاری مواقع خود باعث بوجود آمدن بحران‌های محیط زیستی طولانیمدت شده است. به علاوه، فعالین محیط زیست در ایران جانشان در خطر است و به قتل رسیده، ربوده شده، دستگیر و شکنجه می‌شوند. نمایندگان رژیم، که ممکن است در این کنفرانس شرکت کنند نمایندگان مردم ایران نیستند. آنها قاتل هستند و بزرگ‌ترین آلوده کننده و تخریب کننده محیط زیست در ایران میباشند. آنها نباید به کنفرانس دعوت شوند، باید تحریم شوند.
اسامی زیر تنها چند مثال از چگونگی برخورد رژیم با فعالین محیط زیست می‌باشد:
کاووس سید امامی، شهروند ایرانی -کانادایی و فعال محیط زیست و مدیرعامل مؤسسه «حیات وحش میراث پارسیان» بود. ایشان در ژانویه ۲۰۱۸ دستگیر و در فوریه ۲۰۱۸ در زندان به قتل رسید. مسئولین زندان دلیل مرگ را جعل کرده و ادعا کردند که ایشان خودکشی کرده است.
عرفان رشیدی ، به یکسال زندان محکوم شده بود. هومن جوکار و طاهر قدیریان هر کدام به هشت سال زندان محکوم شدند.
سپیده کاشانی، سام رجبی و امیر حسین خالقی به شش سال زندان محکوم شده اند.
عبدالرضا کوهپایه به چهار سال زندان محکوم شد.
مراد طاهباز به ده سال زندان محکوم شد.
نیلوفر بیانی، که در حال گذراندن ده سال حکم زندان است در رابطه با وضعیتش در زندان صحبت کرده است. در یکی از نامه هایش در سال ۲۰۱۹، بیانی در نوشته تکان دهنده اش در مورد شکنجه های که بر او اعمال شده است نوشته است. بیانی نوشته است که به طور شبانه روز در هشت ماهی که در سلول انفرادی بود بازجویی می‌شد و این بازجویی ها گاها ۹ الی ۱۲ ساعت طول میکشید. بیانی نوشت: “ هر بار پس از افشاگری و درخواست کمک از مسئولین مربوطه با مضاعف شدن فشارها روبرو شده و تهدیدها و شکنجه ها فزونی یافت. چشمان من را بسته و بازجویی می‌کردند. بازجویی‌های ایستاده یا در حال چرخیدن با چشمبند یا در حال بشین‌و پاشو. تهدید می‌کردند که مادر و پدرهفتاد ساله ام را دستگیر و شکنجه خواهند کرد. .. من را تهدید به شکنجه فیزیکی کرده و ابزار شکنجه را به من نشان میدادند، و من را مجبور می‌کردند که ساعت‌ها به دردی که شکنجه بوجود میاورد گوش بدهم. من را تهدید به شکنجه فیزیکی کرده ،عکس و وسایل شکنجه را توصیف کرده و ساعت‌ها جزییات زجر و درد شکنجه‌ها را توصیف می‌کردند… من مرتبا از این ترس داشتم که اگر چیزهایی را که بازجو میگوید ننویسم او وحشیانه از لحاظ جنسی به من حمله می‌کند…”
دولت‌ها و سازمانهایی که در کنفرانس تغییرات اقلیمی شرکت میکنند باید دست به اقدام فوری زده و رژیم اسلامی را جهت آزادی فعالین محیط زیست تحت فشار قرار دهند.

Re: On the occasion of UN Climate Change (COP26), we urge you to demand the release of jailed environmental activists in Iran
The UK will host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow on 31 October – ۱۲ November 2021. On behalf of the Campaign to Free Political Prisoners in Iran (CFPPI), I would like to urge you to pressure the Islamic regime in Iran to release jailed environmental activists and also to stop harassing and detaining environmental activists and their families.
While important issues of climate change are discussed in COP26, the Islamic government in Iran, whose representatives have also been invited to this conference, is arresting and torturing those activists who are making awareness of the effect of climate change in Iran. Ironically, the president of the Islamic regime, Ebrahim Raisi, who has been involved in murdering opposition activists and has committed crimes against humanity, was also invited to COP26. Under Raisi’s power, tens of environmental activists have been arrested and given lengthy jail sentences. I need to mention that it was only after a call for his arrest on his arrival in Scotland, that Raisi announced that he will not be attending the conference. It would have been an international embarrassment and humiliation for the organisers of the COP26, if Raisi, a well-known criminal, was attending the conference.
The Islamic regime in Iran has been deliberately ignoring and neglecting environmental and ecological problems and in many cases created a prolonged, self-inflicted environmental crisis in Iran. Moreover, the Iranian environmental activists fear for their lives and are being killed, kidnapped, jailed, and tortured by the Islamic regime. The regime’s delegates, who might attend the COP26, are not representatives of people in Iran; they are murderers and are the biggest polluters and destroyers of the environment in Iran. They must be boycotted and not invited to the COP26.
Following names are only a few examples of how the environmental activists are being treated by the Islamic regime in Iran:
Mr. Kavous Seyed-Emami was an Iranian-Canadian academic and conservationist. Seyed-Emami ran the Persian Wildlife Heritage Foundation. He was arrested in January 2018 and was murdered in February 2018 in Evin prison in Iran. Prison authorities fabricated a reason that he committed suicide.
Mr. Erfan Rashidi was sentenced to 1 year in prison.
Mr. Houman Jokar and Mr. Taher Ghadirian, each received eight-year sentences.
Ms. Sepideh Kashadoost, Mr. Sam Rajabi and Mr. Amir-Hossein Khaleghi are serving six years each.
Mr. Abdolreza Kouhpayeh was sentenced to four years.
Mr. Morad Tahbaz received a 10-year prison sentence.
Ms. Niloufar Bayani, a Conservation Scientist, who is now serving 10-year prison sentences, spoke out about her situation in prison. In one of her letters in 2019, Bayani wrote her chilling account of her torture. She stated that her interrogations sometimes lasted 9-12 hours during the day and night while she was held for eight months in solitary confinement. She wrote: “Every time I… sought help from the authorities, the pressures, threats, and acts of torture increased. I was blindfolded and interrogated while standing, spinning, or sit-and-standing repeatedly… threatened with the arrest and torture of my 70-year-old mother and father… threatened with physical torture by being shown images and descriptions of torture devices…heard hours of detailed descriptions about the suffering and pain caused by torture… I was increasingly terrified that if I didn’t write whatever [my interrogator] wanted, he would violently and sexually assault me…”
The governments and organisations that attend the COP26 must take urgent actions against the Islamic regime of Iran and pressure them to release jailed environmental activists.
