با حضور دوباره ترامپ در قدرت و تسلط سیاستمداران فوقمحافظهکار و ثروتمندان بر بسیاری از کشورها، طبقه کارگر و مردم عادی با چالشهای حتی بزرگتری مواجه هستند. در کانادا، سیستم بهداشت و درمان رایگان و یونیورسال که مور به آن اشاره میکند، طی دههها مورد حمله دولتهای محافظهکار و لیبرال قرار گرفته است. حفاظت از چنین سیستمی نیازمند ساختن جنبشهای گستردهای است که همچنین برای آموزش عمومی رایگان، دستمزدهای مناسب با هزینه های زندگی، حقوق مهاجران و علیه هزینههای نظامی، جنگها، بهرهکشی سرمایهداری و سیاستهای امپریالیستی در سراسر جهان مبارزه کنند. همچون همیشه و در هر شرایطی، این مبارزه باید ادامه یابد!

Introduction: Before writing about and reflecting on this article, it is vital to remind those worldwide who still harbor illusions about the U.S. bringing freedom and better lives that its history and policies always prioritize corporate profit, political dominance, and systemic violence over human dignity. Whether through its for-profit healthcare system, military interventions, or historical exploitation of the working class, migrants, IBPOC and other marginalized communities, the U.S. has consistently placed power, dominance, military intervention and wealth accumulation for the capitalists above the well-being of its people and others around the world.
Summary: In this article, Michael Moore critiques the systemic failures of the U.S. healthcare system while connecting these issues to broader patterns of structural and political violence perpetuated by the ruling classes and their governments. Referring to Luigi Mangione’s “manifesto”, Moore highlights how the healthcare industry in America prioritizes profit over human life, employing 1.4 million people to deny care while millions suffer from medical debt and denied claims. He likens this to “murder” perpetrated by the capitalist corporations and enabled by complicit politicians.
Moore also draws parallels between domestic systemic violence and U.S. actions globally. Reflection: I believe from a socialist perspective, individual acts of violence are neither effective in the long term nor beneficial as revolutionary tactics, because genuine political struggle can only emerge through collective organizing and building mass movements. However, the case of Luigi and the widespread support he has received from millions of frustrated individuals underscores the profound failures of the capitalist system, particularly the brutal free market model in the U.S.
Moore’s analysis is significant, and his proposed short-term alternatives represent a step in the right direction. Yet, as long as we operate under this bloodthirsty, profit-driven socioeconomic system, any progress we achieve will remain precarious, vulnerable, and subject to being undone or taken away from us.
With Trump in power again and ultra-conservative, wealthy elites dominating many countries, the working class and ordinary people face even more significant challenges. In Canada, the free and universal healthcare system that Moore discusses has been under attack by conservative and liberal governments for decades. Fighting for a healthcare system that is free, inclusive and universal requires building massive movements that also fight for free public education, living wages, migrant rights, … and against military spending, wars, capitalist exploitation, and imperialist policies worldwide. As always, and under any circumstances, the struggle must continue!
